December 2025 – Ken Grover G3KIP

Ken was one of WKARS’ longest-standing members, and we are saddened by his loss. Dave G4OTV wrote the following tribute to Ken:

We are saddened to report the passing of Ken Grover, G3KIP. Licensed in 1955 Ken was an active member of the West Kent ARS. He was a kind and generous man, always ready to assist those wanting to get into the hobby with advice and donations of equipment. Only a few weeks ago he donated an HF transceiver to a local girls’ school to help them set up an amateur radio station. For several years he hosted an annual barbecue at his home for club members and their partners. He was very active on a local two metre net coming on most mornings with a sunny disposition and a joke. He will be missed and we send sincere condolences to his family and friends.
